What are the Great Advantages of Linux

Linux operating system gain extreme popularity over the last several years. It is quite similar to another operating system UNIX . LINUX popularity lies under various benefits it provides over other operating systems . The foremost benefit is its accessibility and cost . It is easily accessible on internet and does not charge any cost or need any royalty . Linux copies can also be bought from its distributors . Linux strong safety is its another great aspect because each day computer systems encountered malicious viruses. And you do not have to spend extra cost for virus protection software as strongly required for Windows . It allows great control over the operating system . Linux provides many software options and additional features can be included . Its processing power is also good for old computers .

What are the Uses of Linux

In 1991 an operating system Linux was introduced by Linus Torvalds. Like all other operating systems it manages the computer programs, or applications, by allowing them to connect to the hardware devices inside the computer . The difference between ordinary operating systems and Linux is that linux is a free or open source software, while most other operating systems are commercial interest based . In the sense that users can run, copy, distribute or even improve it, Linux is free .
Linux is now widely taken up both in personal and commercial purposes . Its use varies from mobile phones to desktop/laptop computers to mainframes and supercomputers . Linux is used as server operating system . While it is used for running firewalls and news servers, it is also run as a web server by a lot of companies .
Since the year 2010 out of the top 500 supercomputers 459 benefit from Linux distributions . The range of Linux run products includes wrist watches, embedded systems like Android smart phones, video games, stage lighting systems, portable music players like mp3s, tablet computers etc. In real time applications and computer architecture support too, Linux is found useful .
Linux users get utmost freedom which makes it prevalent in the market.

Uses of Linux

Despite of the fact that Linux has probably 1% of the market share in the world of operating systems; it is still being used at frequent places instead of Microsoft Windows or Mac.
United States Department of Defense is the only biggest user of Red Hat Linux as quoted by Linux.com. Brigadier General Nick Justice, the Deputy Program officer has stated that they had revolved into Baghdad because of using this open source software and it efficiently works to control and command the whole system.
Panasonic, after facing in adequate issues using Windows NT, preferred Linux as their development kit for the implementation of their voicemail systems.
Even Google owns enormous clusters of servers that run Linux along with Google’s search.
ComputerWeekly.com reported that approximately 33 German Universities and 560,000 students choose Linux as their favorite OS since it has more efficient IT architecture than any other OS.

What is Linux

I will anser the question what is linux. They are three parts to the linux system. The three parts are, the kernel, the shell, and tools and app. This operating system is open source. When a peace of software and/or operating system is open source it means that the code ( if you will) can be see for whoever wish to see it. It also means that the software and/or operating system can be change to hopefully make it better for the user. Open source means free.Linux is UNIX-like.I am going to tell you about the kernel. If you know Unix you will know what the kernel. The operating system's code is called the kernel.The kernel is what the rest of the system depends on and if you were to change it you could seriously screw up your computer.The linux kernel is a very special kernel because every day geeks can change it to hopefully make a better operating system. The linux OS is surprisingly very similar to the unix kernel. I admit that I have not memorized or closely look at the center part of the linux operating system, when I say center I am talking about the three layers of the linux operating system which are three components, the kernel, the shell, and tools and apps.The shell is one of my favorite part of Linux because this is the part that humans interact with and you can mess around with without hurting your computer but at the same time being able to do cool tricks, needed action, searching for files, writing a program, and much more. All the bash commands that you will learn will be use in side the shell and when you open terminal in linux you will be in the shell. An easy way to deifie the shell is to say it is where the computer shows information and the humans inputs data to save or to use to retrieve info for the computer. |The shell is where you will mostly spend your time when you are in terminal you are using the shell.}
In this paragraph I will tell you about the GUI and tools and apps. First I will share with the easiest tools and apps. If you know UNIx and what its tools and apps can do. Then you should know this lair can be really powerful. But in the linux world it dose not run or nor meant to run hole operating systems but it will run a GUI, graphic user interface. GUI is the main difference between UNIX and Linux. So when you boot up your distribution of linux and after you set it up you will be able to see a desktop instead of just the shell as in unix.So if you are still not sure what open sours means or you are wondering what I meat when I said distribution then this section is for you. Like I said in the beginning open source means the the code be hide the software and/or operating system is visible and chasuble to thoughts who wish to see it. I think that the way they are categorized is imported to learn. If the code is change it is called a distribution. When a distribution is updated by its creator it will be called a new version like most other software but when it is updated by a different person that was not command by the creator then the final product is then called another distro, it is short for distribution,To conclude this blog I would like to say that Linux operating system is so amazing because that each layer is so just amazing like, the kernel, the shell, tool and application. Because the kernel can do so much more then just a bunch of code, Because the shell is a way to access the main operating system and do cool tricks, but the tools and apps can run the GUI wall at the same time run simple applications

WHAt is Linux

I am going to tell you what is linux in this article. The operating system linux is made up of three parts. The three parts are, the kernel, the shell, and the GUI. This operating system is open source. When a peace of software and/or operating system is open source it means that the code ( if you will) can be see for whoever wish to see it. It also means that the software and/or operating system can be change to hopefully make it better for the user. Any open source software of operating system is free.The linux operating system is a unix-like operating system and by that I mean is very similar to unix.I am going to tell you about the kernel. Now if you’re familiar with the operating system unix then you probably know what the kernel is. The kernel is the operating system’s code.The kernel is what the rest of the system depends on and if you were to change it you could seriously screw up your computer.Sense the linux operating system is open source anyone can see and change the kernel. In this section I will explain the GUI. I will share with you some tools and apps to use but first. If you are familiar with unix then you will know how helpful and powerful it can be, it can runs apps from simple word pressers to hole operating systems. But in the linux world it dose not run or nor meant to run hole operating systems but it will run a GUI, graphic user interface. The GUI is what makes linux different from unix. Every time someone changes the code the new product is called a distribution. I will go over with you what is linux. So what is linux, linux operating system is made up of a three part. The kernel is the operating system’s code.the kernel is the baseline of all of the operating system and if you were to change the kernel then you might severely screw up your computer.The linux kernel is a very special kernel because every day geeks can change it to hopefully make a better operating system. The linux OS is surprisingly very similar to the unix kernel. I admit that I have not memorized or closely look at the center part of the linux operating system, when I say center I am talking about the three layers of the linux operating system which are three components, the kernel, the shell, and tools and apps.The shell is one of my favorite part of Linux because this is the part that humans interact with and you can mess around with without hurting your computer but at the same time being able to do cool tricks, needed action, searching for files, writing a program, and much more. When software or operating system is changed then the final product is called a distribution.
