What is Linux

I am going to tell you what is linux in this article. They are three parts to the linux system. The kernel, the shell, and the GUI are the three parts of linux. The linux operating system is open sores. When a peace of software and/or operating system is open source it means that the code ( if you will) can be see for whoever wish to see it. It also means that the software and/or operating system can be change to hopefully make it better for the user. Any open source software of operating system is free.Linux is very similar to UNIX.I am going to tell you about the kernel. Now if you’re familiar with the operating system unix then you probably know what the kernel is. The operating system's code is called the kernel.the kernel is the baseline of all of the operating system and if you were to change the kernel then you might severely screw up your computer.The linux kernel is a very special kernel because every day geeks can change it to hopefully make a better operating system. Linux's kernel and UNIX's kernel are very similar. I admit that I have not memorized or closely look at the center part of the linux operating system, when I say center I am talking about the three layers of the linux operating system which are three components, the kernel, the shell, and tools and apps.The shell is one of my favorite part of Linux because this is the part that humans interact with and you can mess around with without hurting your computer but at the same time being able to do cool tricks, needed action, searching for files, writing a program, and much more. All the bash commands that you will learn will be use in side the shell and when you open terminal in linux you will be in the shell. An easy way to deifie the shell is to say it is where the computer shows information and the humans inputs data to save or to use to retrieve info for the computer. |The shell is where you will mostly spend your time when you are in terminal you are using the shell.}

I will tell you about the GUI. First I will share with the easiest tools and apps. If you know UNIx and what its tools and apps can do. Then you should know this lair can be really powerful. But in the linux world it dose not run or nor meant to run hole operating systems but it will run a GUI, graphic user interface. GUI is the main difference between UNIX and Linux. Now you don't need to use or learn the shell you can just use the GUI.So if you are still not sure what open sours means or you are wondering what I meat when I said distribution then this section is for you. Like I said in the beginning open source means the the code be hide the software and/or operating system is visible and chasuble to thoughts who wish to see it. I think that the way they are categorized is imported to learn. When software or operating system is changed then the final product is called a distribution. When a distribution is updated by its creator it will be called a new version like most other software but when it is updated by a different person then the software or operating system will be labeled as another distro, it is short for distribution,To conclude this blog I would like to say that Linux operating system is so amazing because that each layer is so just amazing like, the kernel, the shell, tool and application. Because the kernel can do so much more then just a bunch of code, Because the shell is a great way to do very cool trcks with it. but the tools and apps can run the GUI wall at the same time run simple applications.
